Oh, God, Christ,
Where are you tonight in this century of boiling hate

When I was a child the adults in my community often spoke to me of The Christ

Of Armageddon
And Apocalypse

The coming Messiah

The Millennial reign
Rapture and Salvation

Now I am old and they are many dead and dying

Their plans didn’t work and their dreams turned to ash

They believed doctrine from advertisements and followed leaders made of sand

And left me in a furious torrent of chaotic hate and death

God’s Jesus weeping, bloody Magdaline, Sunday morning sunrise, there is so much worthless death

Secret death
Lonely death
Scheduled death
Convenient death
Random death
Manufactured bought and sold statistical death

They rub poison on the food to keep it safe
And put neurotoxins in the drinking water

Schools supervise ignorance
Courts protect corruption
Freedom enslaves liberty
